DESCRIPTION:studio nagelneu presents \nChicha Making Workshop by Daniela Zambrano Almidón\nSunday August 9th 12:30\nstudio nagelneu | Hermannstraße 103\, 12051 Berlin \nDaniela Zambrano Almidón is a Peruvian Quechua artist currently based in Berlin. \nThis workshop is part of OO Lab vol.2\, an interdisciplinary research project exploring the theme of „Breeding\,“ this year’s edition examining domestication\, cultivation\, and the entangled histories of human and non-human life. \nThe workshop introduces participants to the making of chicha\, a fermented corn drink rooted in Andean tradition\, offering a direct encounter with fermentation as a form of breeding: the cultivation of microbial life alongside human intention and care\, and a reminder that these microbes have in turn shaped human bodies\, diets\, and habits over time. DESCRIPTION:studio nagelneu presents \nReading Group Annotations*\nAnnotations* is a reading group focusing on the work of cultural critic\nMark Fisher. The first five sessions will focus on Capitalist Realism\nand the questions it raises about contemporary culture and society.\nsundays 17:30 – 20:00\nJune 28th | July 5th | July 26th | August 2nd | August 9th\nstudio nagelneu | Hermannstraße 102\, 12051 Berlin\n \nAlternating between reading\, responding\, and listening\, we aim to\ndevelop a collaborative approach to his ideas and concerns about the\nperceived stagnation of contemporary culture. This reading group is a\ncollective annotation of his writing. Together\, we want to create a\ncollage from fragments of our experiences. Part of this series will be a\nlistening event and screening session focusing on the audiovisual and\nsonic works discussed in Fisher’s writing.\n\nThe main language is English. The book will be provided by us. Drinks\nand snacks are included in the contribution fee\, which is based on a\nsliding scale.
