SUMMARY:Ausstellung: A Curious Herbal
DESCRIPTION:In this exhibition plant portraits that were created during the workshop A Curious Herbal will be presented including a guidebook Zine. \nThe title of the project\, A Curious Herbal\, is borrowed from the 1739 publication by Elizabeth Blackwell\, which was the first herbal (a publication of medicinal botanical illustrations) to include medicinal plants brought to Europe from the Americas. While Blackwell was likely referring to the strangeness of these recent arrivals\, we will use the word “curious” to refer to ourselves. Our Herbal will be the product of an attitude of curiosity taken towards our immediate surroundings. A curiosity that leads to an appreciation of the biodiversity and cultural richness found within our urban ecosystem. \nFriday\, August 19th 6-8 pm \n

DESCRIPTION:Im Rahmen unseres Sommerprogramms präsentieren wir euch freitags ein kulturelles Programm begleitet von unserem Angebot am Pizza-Ofen und Bar! \nDiesmal mit von der Partie \nGeordie Little\nBorn and raised in Adelaide\, South Australia\, and based since 2012 in Berlin\, Germany\, Geordie is a guitarist\, composer and sound designer – performing and creating as both a solo instrumentalist and in a number of collaborative projects. He is also the Musical Director and founding member of the acclaimed UK based arts creation house Fauna Circus Ltd. \nKnown primarily for his innovative approach to the guitar\, Geordie is signed to US based Fretmonkey Records and holds endorsements with Ortega Guitars and Augustine Strings. He first developed his style on the streets and has since developed and refined it on stages around the world\, performing in over 30 countries across 6 continents.
